Pat O'Brien's Destin opening soon

Pat O'Brien's in Destin Florida is opening soon. I took this picture September 13, 2007 with my iphone as I was traveling westbound on US 98 in Destin, FL. According to this press release Pat O'Brien's Destin will open in October 2008. (I missed it by 2 weeks!). I've been to the Pat O'Brien's New Orleans, Pat O'Brien's Orlando, and the Pat O'Brien's Cancun and can't wait to add this one and the Pat O'Brien's San Antonio to my collection!

Ironically I was in Memphis the week before and missed Pat O'Brien's Memphis by 2 weeks. The locals said it had closed down just 2 fridays before I traveled through there. I'm not sure why it closed but just based on my observations of its where it was on Beale Street I would say its location, location, location. It is toward the end of Beale Street across from the Hard Rock Cafe' (which did not have many patrons) with a park (where homeless hang out) and a street between it and the next bar. I guess most people decided it is not worth the walk when there are so many bars and restaurants clumped together before getting to Pat O'Brien's.

Walking with Dinosaurs the live experience

I took my family to Madison Square Garden to see Walking with Dinosaurs Live the Experience on August 3rd for the 3:00 PM show and we were absolutely amazed by the performance.
